OUR WORLD

For nearly a century, functional chrome plating has been the coating of choice for designers and engineers due to its extreme versatility in addressing performance challenges. Extending wear life, increased lubricity, ease of cleaning, chemical/corrosion resistance, increasing surface hardness, and maintaining surface finish requirements are just a few of the challenges encountered every day in industry. Many coatings or metal finishing processes serve to protect against one or two of these challenges. The thin deposit chrome coating applied by ME-92 takes on all challenges with unparalleled performance and aesthetics. In 1992, ME-92 perfected the art of applying a uniform biocompatible pure metallic chromium surface to stainless steel medical instruments. Over the course of three decades and continual testing, ME-92® chrome coatings have been proven to perform on nearly every base metal type, including aluminum (ALCOAT®). Today, due to the need for clean biocompatible coatings in other industries, ME-92 Operations now provides services for clean room applications, food grade applications, robotics, and injection molding to name a few.
